Grammarian

Time required for your report (30 sec - 1min)

Purpose:

The grammarian reminds us of the small slips in our speech. The grammarian helps us to spot anomalies in our speech and eliminate them.

Before the Meeting:

Prepare a small language-related discussion topic which can be used to advise the members what you will be looking for during the meeting for your report.

At the Meeting:

Pay attention to the names of all participants and write them down during members introduction to aid you in your report at the end of the evening.

Pay particular attention to:

  • Misuses of words

  • Incorrect pronunciation

  • Poor sentence structure and

  • Excellent use of language

Listen to all participants of the meeting and log weak and strong uses of grammar.

When called on by the General Evaluator, give a brief report detailing good word usage, and incorrect grammar.
